Our journey started with a simple dream..
to create a space where people could escape the noise of everyday life, tap into their creativity, and share beautiful, meaningful moments with the people they love.
With no formal art background—just a deep love for people, color, and hospitality—we poured our hearts (and let’s be honest, our sanity) into building Abstract Orlando from the ground up. We learned as we went, driven by the belief that art isn’t just about what’s on the canvas, but about how you make people feel—seen, heard, and welcomed. Hospitality is the foundation of everything we do.
Moe, short for Mohannad, was born in Palestine and spent half his life in Amman, Jordan, and the other half in Orlando, Florida. His father owned a number of supermarkets along Highway 192, and that’s where Moe first learned hospitality—up close and personal. It was ingrained in him early on: always exceed expectations, no matter the cost.
After graduating from UCF, Moe continued in the family business and opened an art gallery as a passion project. The gallery supported local artists and provided a space for creative expression—until COVID hit. With tourism gone and the family business forced to shut its doors after over 15 years, the gallery’s future hung in the balance.
We had a choice: let go, or pivot.
So we transformed the gallery into a creative studio and offered every experience we could think of to survive—soap making, candle pouring, resin art, and fluid painting. Eventually, we realized that if we focused all our energy into mastering one experience, we could make something truly special. We chose fluid art—and we’ve never looked back.
That leap wasn’t taken alone.
Aliana, born in Venezuela, moved to the U.S. at 18 with her mother and older brother. With no English, no college degree, and no clear roadmap, she dove headfirst into work to help support her family. From housekeeping in hotels to roles at Marriott and eventually Chick-fil-A, she developed a strong foundation in hospitality and leadership. Her work ethic, shaped by a hardworking single mother, and her determination to do things the right way, pushed her to grow in every role she took on.
She eventually became a manager at Chick-fil-A and later transitioned into the banking world with Chase—always hungry to learn, challenge herself, and grow. But everything changed when she met Moe in early 2020.
Their connection was instant. Not only did their values and backgrounds align, but their strengths complemented each other in powerful ways. Moe was rebuilding his business, and Aliana saw something in both him and the vision he was chasing. Together, they decided she would leave her job and join him full-time. It was a bold move—but one rooted in belief, trust, and a shared sense of purpose.
With no safety net, they gave everything they had to Abstract Orlando. And the studio grew—not just as a business, but as a space where people from all walks of life could come to create, connect, and heal. Whether it’s a fun night out or a quiet moment of emotional release, guests have found that the fluid art experience offers something deeper than just a canvas.
Every inch of this studio reflects that love and resilience. As a family-owned and operated business, Moe and Aliana may have sparked the vision, but Abstract Orlando became what it is because of so many others. From our dedicated team and trusted vendors to every guest who walked through our doors, each person played a meaningful role in shaping this space into something that truly feels like home. A thousand unseen helping hands have made this studio shine in more ways than we could ever count. We’re deeply grateful—and forever indebted—to everyone who helped us become one of Orlando’s most beloved creative experiences. And with your continued support, we hope to one day inspire hearts across the nation.
When you support Abstract Orlando, you’re not just visiting a space. You’re stepping into someone’s dream. You’re supporting a family, a story, and a space built from scratch with nothing but passion, persistence, and purpose.
